WGI is a multidisciplinary consulting firm with fourteen offices nationwide specializing in engineering, surveying, geospatial mapping, planning, land development, environmental and parking consulting services. In 2017, WGI ranked #252 on the ENR's list of the Top 500 Design Firms. We are seeking a Parking Planning Project Manager to join our growing team in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

Parking Planning Project Managers are focused on leading projects and assisting clients with a variety of challenging parking consulting projects including (but not limited to): parking supply and demand studies, operations and management studies, master plans, technology assessments, financial studies, RFP and RFQ processes, parking access and revenue control reviews, and feasibility studies.

This position will work closely with the office Principals to identify project opportunities, prepare marketing materials and proposals, manage projects, develop assessments and analyses, prepare project deliverables, and provide quality control. Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills are essential to this position.

Travel will be a component of this position (20% to 25%). However, project work will tend to be focused in Florida and the southeastern region of the United States.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify project opportunities, client contacts, and networking opportunities;
  • Prepare responses to requests for service, RFQs, and RFPs, including developing scopes of services and fee estimates;
  • Manage parking study projects, including staff assigned to the project;
  • Conduct detailed assessments and analyses to develop and support appropriate recommendations;
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and figures (e.g., photos, tables, charts, and graphics);
  • Assist with project quality control;
  • Pro-actively develop and maintain relationships with past, current, and potential clients;
  • Participate in parking industry organizations, prepare articles for publication and develop presentations for various events.


  • Minimum seven years of successful parking operations management or consulting;
  • Experience in direct parking operations is preferred but not required;
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Urban planning experience with emphasis on parking is helpful;
  • CAPP or CPP certifications are helpful;
  • Evidence of strong writing, analytical, and presentation skills;
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe;
  • Knowledge of parking access and revenue control systems;
  • Previous transportation and/or TDM planning experience a plus.
